Stupid Commercials
I was watching football earlier today, and I couldn't help but notice all the annoying commercials, all essentially saying the same thing, BUY YOUR WOMAN ALOT OF EXPENSIVE SHIT. Look, the entire point of commercials is to peddle your product to the target demographic i.e. your audience. Are these advertisers stupid? They're not even selling a product, they are selling you the idea of gift giving. How thoughtful of them.
Here are the commercials I saw
1. Commercial for Lexus. Out in the driveway is a Lexus RX series SUV, with a red bowtie on it. 2 women scuttle outside and assume it's for them. One declares she knows it's for her because it's her favorite color. The other one thinks it's hers because she wanted something shiny for christmas.
2. Another Lexus commercial. Hubby blindfolds his wife and take her outside. in the driveway is a brand spanking new Lexus LS (Base price is well over 60 grand, fully loaded can surpass 80 grand) with a red bow on top. I guess that was her christmas present.
3. Kay jeweler commercial, some douche surprises his wife with a gold bracelet while they are watching TV, and at the end of the ad, the announcer states that sales start at a "mere $3500".
4. Another jewelry commercial, but this time it's Santa. Santa goes to the mall and picks out the most expensive diamond for Mrs. Claus. Takes said diamond to the North Pole to give Mrs Claus, she's all happy and asks how he knows what she wants, Santa winks into the camera.
5. Another jewelry commercial. This one almost seems like a demand. Announcer says "She's been good all year, why don't you do something for her for a change?" Some guy surprises his wife with diamonds. Nothing like subtle shaming language to get your point across.
Seriously, who are they selling this idea to? Who saw these commercials and ran out to buy an $80,000 vehicle as a present? Do men ever get gifts on Christmas?

those commercials are so annoying. Nothing about women getting anything for men either! I want a pimp ring lol.
Why don't you do something for HER for a change. Wow that is priceless. You spend the entire year doing EVERYTHING her way otherwise she throws a hissy fit.
You know what, maybe for once why doesn't she do something for you. A christmas blowjob would be nice or how about for once spending the 10x more that he always spends on your lazy ass for christmas on something he wants.
Sure guys get things at Christmas. Of course it was probably paid for with his money that she controls.
The best line was "She's been good all year, why don't you do something for her for a change?" Yeah you thoughtless bastard, why don't you do something for her for a change, beyond the normal paying for the house, food, medical, clothing, piano lessons, ...
We need to make a commercial for a real present for the guys. "Your husband has taken care of you and the kids all year long why don't you give him something that he will enjoy and not cost him anything? How's about a blowjob for this Christmas. And you won't have wait in a long line at the checkout."
Of course, going down once a year is probably asking too much of these princesses.

I agree - everything in the US is so damn femcentric. What can YOU do for her, her, her?!!!!
The question is never what can she do for YOU (like in more natural societies)!
Do you guys see the nested NLP framing in these meme grenades?
1) Spend extravagant amounts of money on gifts for your woman.
2) Supplicate to your women, not expect her to supplicate to you.
3) Do that "for a change," as if you already aren't doing that 24-7.
What a load of BULL. A REAL men would:
1) NOT buy your woman gifts. YOU are gift enough. And if you're not, buying shyt ain't gonna change that.
2) Never supplicate to a woman any more than she is to him, AT MOST.
3) Again, the whole POV here is skewed. The question is not how you are treating HER, but how is she treating YOU? YOUR focus should be on YOU, not HER. As should hers!
I say that men should make an effort to create "home-made gifts" that women are so fond of giving.
See what she says when you give her a picture made of macaroni and glitter and tell her that it means more than a diamond because you spent the time to create it!
In the Dallas Metroplex we had Helzberg Diamonds that ran commercials for several years. One was a Woman who stapled, a flyer to her Husband's forehead of the Diamonds that she wanted. Domestic Abuse is comedy to these Assholes. I bought my wife's Engagement Ring. Sent them an angry Fax. Telling them they have lost my business for life.
When I bought her an expensive watch, I faxed a copy of the invoice to them to make my point. So long as Men are guilted into buying high priced baubbles for our Women, we will be their Bitches. Sorry I refuse to play along with that crap. Using Guilt to compel me to by from you only makes me very angry. That is tantamount to extortion, akin to Prostitution.
