Men biggest victims of domestic violence

As I play Madden 07 on my 360 (sweet game BTW), and I can't help but remember those stupid commercials about men beating up their wives and girlfriends because of football, and how domestic violence spikes on superbowl. Here's an interesting little article that states that men are more likely to be victims of domestic violence. How come we never hear the media talk about this?

Came across a point, counter-point article from Forbes about marrying career women. Of course there is the ubiquitous female banshee spouting her drivel. We've come to expect that as men, but I found it refreshing to read the male perspective. Kudos to Michael Noer, get ready to be bombarded with hate male and accusations of being a chauvinist pig. Job well done, loved the last paragraph.

I ran into an acquantance of mine from the gym today on my way to work. He's a construction worker and he works damn hard. I hadn't seen him in a while, and I got to chatting with him, asking him about life in general etc. He tells me that he's expecting a baby, so naturally I congratulate him, but he isn't too thrilled about it because now he has to do a double-shift and he's working as a bartender on the weekends for extra money to save up for a new apartment and the baby. Money is tight and his girl decided she doesn't have to work since he's doing a double-shift. He also said they were not planning on having a baby and he thought that she was on the pill.

Now, this guy is just an acquantance and I don't know him well enough to start going on and on about his manipulative girlfriend, but these stories are too commonplace, i'm tired of hearing about them and i'm disappointed that men are not smarting up to this game. Either you are on the pill or you're not. These "accidents" are not accidents at all. Women trap their boyfriends by getting pregnant, and now this guy is fucked. He has no escape. Men are far too trusting of the women in their lives. Always wear protection, don't take her word for it that she's on the pill. When they get baby rabies, they intentionally "forget" to take it. You'll be the jerk if you are not happy that you have a bundle of joy coming and the entire thing will be used against you in society and if it gets far enough, in court, despite the fact that the baby was concieved via deception. Avoid this mess by not putting yourself in that situation. I felt bad for the guy. Today it was hot as hell outside. 100 degrees with a heat index of 110!! Tommorow, it will be worse, and this guy is doing double shifts outside in this miserable heat. I don't envy him, and his mistakes validate everything I stand for and believe in; the rebuking of American women.
